Famous Tamil actor Ajith is coming up with another movie Soolam. Successful tamil film ‘Asal’ has been dubbed in telugu as ‘Soolam.’ The movie is produced by Cninnababu and A. Sampath Kumar. Sharan directed the movie. Sameera Reddy is playing the female lead role and Bhavana is playing another important role.

Story :

Jeevanandam (Ajith) has two sons (Sampat and Rajiv) and they hate their stepbrother Siva. But Jeevanandam doesn’t like all this and he wants all the three should live together. Additionally, he gives more preference to Siva’s Words. Both Siva and Jeevanandam look alike incidentally.

Jeevanandam has a business of manufacturing arms and supply them to armed forces who stays in France.

Once a smuggling group, wants to transact arms with Jeevanandam, but he refuses that deal. His sons wants to join that group and kill their father. Anyhow, Jeevanandam transfers his entire property in name of Siva. However, the will says that the other sons can bequeath the property, if Siva dies in normal circumstances.

Shiva leaves the house as per his step-brothers wish. Two brothers join the Shetty (Kelly Dorje) gang, and they kidnaps Siva’s younger brother.

What Shiva does to release his brother? Will he reach India? Should be viewed on-screen…


Artist Performances :

Ajith has excelled in his role with ease. Both his characters as father and a son are interesting. Though, the father’s character ends early, he has lived up to the expectations with composed performance in the elder character. As son too, Ajith has done a wonderful job. The action scenes are shot in a stylish way.

Sameera Reddy has done dignified job, as the girlfriend of Ajith. She looked completely different in this movie.

Bhavana has played the second female lead. She looks pretty in the movie with her innocent looks.

Both the villain roles played by Kelly Dorje and Pradeep Rawat are okay, but as usual the cinematic end of Kelly Dorje plays spoilsport.


Technical Analysis :


One thing about this movie is cinematography. Cameraman has captured the beautiful locales of the foreign locations. Long shots and Chasing scenes are excellently captured. Action scenes are awesome and are impressively shot.

Music by Ramani Bharadwaj is okay, but there are no melodious tracks. Sharan direction is appreciable.

Analysis :

‘Soolam’ is the dubbed telugu film of tamil film ‘Asal’. Sharan has made this movie with action drama. The film has all qualities of a hit film. But, due to poor promotion, the film has not opened heavily. We have to wait and see, to how much our telugu audience receive this flick.


Final Verdict : A Nice Movie….One of the Stylish Action Dramatic Flick….for action oriented fans..
